The Son Tra 20-Kilometer Ultra-Trekking Tour is an elite, full-day wilderness expedition designed for seasoned hikers seeking a deep immersion into the raw biodiversity and wartime history of Da Nang’s “Monkey Mountain”. This demanding 20kms loop cuts entirely through the core protected zone of the primeval rainforest, seamlessly bridging rich wildlife ecosystems with relic sites from the 1960s and you will discover: 1.Pure Wildlife & Biodiversity: The Queen of Primates: The undisputed highlight is spotting the critically endangered Red-shanked Douc Langur. You will use high-powered binoculars to watch families of these vibrant monkeys foraging high in the canopy. 2.Fauna & Flora: Beyond the Doucs, the route hosts rhesus macaques, wild boar tracks, and exotic birds. The trail is framed by a rich undergrowth of seasonal wild orchids and tropical flowers. 3.Ancient Landscapes: The path winds past massive, ancient trees whose sprawling root structures mimic giant walls deep inside the jungle.

Historical Relics & Iconic Landscapes: Vong Canh Hill: Your first major rest stop features a historic hexagonal pavilion perched on a scenic ridge. It offers breathtaking panoramic views looking out over the emerald waters of Tien Sa Port and the open South China Sea. 4.Wartime Landing Zones (LZ): Trek directly past old, cleared helicopter landing pads used by the military during the Vietnam War. The American Radar Station: Reaching the upper ridges brings you face-to-face with the historic “Indochina Eye”. Originally built by the US Military in 1965 to control regional airspace, the facility remains an active military radar station today under giant white radomes. All are designed in this greatest adventure trekking tour. Kindly noted that this tour is only fit for any guests with good physical body, love adventure and nature, under 60 years old, less than 80 kgs and must book at least 3 days in advanced.
